@frecoxia The movie was shot on a Soundstage only like a few like 3 second clips were filmed of the Exterior of Timberline Lodge.

The movie was shot at the overlook or something but it was based on the stanley hotel.

they only used the facade in the movie; the inside of the lodge doesn't look anything like what's in the movie, since the interiors were filmed on a soundstage.
