Shelley Long and Phil Collins present the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for a
Motion Picture award to Martin Landau. Martin Landau accepts the award and says that 21 years ago
he won a Golden Globe and that it now has a playmate. He thanks Frances Coppola, the writers, the
people at Paramount, the screenwriter, the cast, Jeff Bridges, and the members of the Hollywood
Foreign Association. He jokingly says that the reason he is standing on the stage for so long is for him
to see if the trophy doesn't self-destruct itself.
