gypsy rose lee was insanely jealous of her little sisters talents. of course their whacked out mother had a lot to do with that. at one point gypsy begged her mother not to let someone adopt her. their mother had decided to leave gypsy with another family while june and her traveled on the vaudeville circuit. can you imagine that? being given up for adoption at 6 yrs. old by your mother because you aren't perceived to be as talented as your sibling?
