This is the first four minutes of Agnes Varda's full-length documentary, "The Gleaners and I" (2000). Inspired by Realist painter Jean-François Millet's famous painting "The Gleaners [Les Glaneuses] (1857)," Varda explores contemporary practices of scavenging and recycling.

Well, well! I do both! All that plastic is high energy - free and burns clean with proper equipment. and fruit, vegetables, and nuts to pick, berries, and the waste of good scrap cans for hobbies for gifts! My1 Why not?

    @ Natluer

The singer is Agnès Bredel also known as Princess Aniès in France (not sure you're French or not) and the song is "rap de récup", not sure she released it though!

Gleaning, its mentioned in the bible, old testament, nothing shameful at all, better to glean some fresh produce than modern-day gleaners that glean cardboard, plastic containers, aluminum cans and other recycables which they cash in for fiat currency,...NOT! Better to glean grain, fruit and veggies,...thumbs up and thankin' my pal slobomotion for sharin'!! =D

Does anyone know the title and artist of the rap song in this video?

This is a brilliant documentary I recommend everyone see and I really appreciate the English subtitles. I am near Paris and glean. Not too often but I do it. Wow, have I ever made some scores! You need to plan, have a cart, a friend to help you carry and then take it home and process it. It is just great and we could feed everyone here if they would get people to do this. It could be organized.
