  • I can see where Sam's coming from. Dean had at least four years to live a relatively normal family life with a mother who loved him. He was taught through his early childhood that family equals love, safety, and protection. Sam grew up in the aftermath of their mother's death, and was taught by John that family equals fear, anger, and ostracization. Sam has always wanted to feel normal, and his family was never that. It makes sense that he treasures the moments where he felt like any other kid.

  • @Orochi2345678 I wouldn't say that. Sam sacrificed himself for the world last seas. I don't think you can get more selfless than that. He's also tried countless times to make the same sacrifices for Dean as Dean has for him, he's just always prevented from doing so. Sam is a different man than Dean, but he's just as good-hearted. He's been afraid of himself his entire life. This clip might imply he didn't appreciate Dean, but in the end it was his love for him that allowed him to save the world.

  • @AshleyHalliwell3 Well, consider what John's reaction must've been to being told that Sam was missing on Dean's watch. All he cared about was keeping his boys safe, think about what we know of Sam in college. and John said his biggest issue with it was Sam would be vunerable. Think about all we know of John, would you really want to be in Dean's shoes? Cuz whatever his punishment was, it had to be quite severe. I'm gonna say Dean's ass was grass when John got ahold of him.

  • @JorJor444 your right it broke my heart when Sam saw Dean and their mom hugging and considering the different circumstances yea I understand Sam's point of view on family

  • And when Dad came home... Dean got his ass kicked all cause of Sam.

How can Sam not see the hell Dean went through being responsible to keep him safe? I sure wouldn't want to have to answer to Papa John O.o

  • The utter fear on Dean's face when he said, "And when Dad came home..." I honestly don't know what to make of that.

  • @bshern I agree with you completely... but at the same time I feel sorry for Dean cause all he wants is for people to love him and need him as much as he needs and loves people... He just wants someone to care about him above anything else and never throw him away... just like how he feels about Sam and it's really sad when he gives all his concern and love and attention to someone and they don't give it back...

  • Ouch. But I do think Sam's heaven is a bit weird. Come on, surely Jessica would be the FIRST memory there (if it isn't Dean)? I'm a bit suspicious.

  • sam: "Bones was my DAWG!" is it just me or is that just sexy!

  • @nureallycool all we can really do is hope. These two, more than most, deserve at least some sort of normality...and as far as i can see, the only normalicy they have ever really had, the only constant is dying...and eachother

  • @joisey10 You're absolutely right. We can't blame either of them and this concludes that even thought they are and always will be family, each of them would want something they can never fully have. Maybe Dean will get the brotherly family bond with Sam back and maybe Sam will still be normal despite his tortured soul.

  • @nureallycool you're right, it's not supposed to be focused on what Dean wants or his happiness. And it should also focus on Sam's happiness and wants as well. But come on, from the get-go they've never been able to have any sort of happiness or get what they want. Dean's focus was family, Sam's was being normal. Either way, they both got royaly screwed. Dean couldn't kill his brother, hence him putting Sam's soul back. Sam runs away to live normalySo honestly, can we blame either one of them?
