I used to beat the hell out of Red in GSC.
Then, in HG/SS, he discovered the wonders of held-items + STAB.

I have this as my ringtone because it reminds of the challenge he brought me when I had a level 98 Apharos-(no hacks either, all done by hard work and tears and blisters lol) but he wiped him in only 4 minutes, and I was like F*CK! then I had level 70 and 60 pokemon and they all got beaten by a pikachu T~T and this was like 5 years ago or was it 7 i forgot but boy was I shocked at this lol, either way i respect Red even if he is just pixels...

@wildsugarboy i know even on his last pokemon it can get very difficult(esp. Red). Thats why I got every full restore and full heal to get to the elite 4 while playing pkmn crystal
