..I eventually had to give up on mine, it failed 5 times with the dreaded 'driver board smoke' and I swapped it with the dealer for another radio while it was still in warranty. Disappointed, since the rig had it all as far as I was concerned, I just couldn't take that unreliability.

Even though mine's had a few problems since I bought it last year, Icom UK have always been quick and efficient with support, and this radio has one of the best receivers I have used in 34 years in the hobby. So much packed into one little box. I adore this rig.

I bought one of these and it is a lemon I had to spend 50 dollars to ship it dont buy one of these unless u go to the hamradio store and insist the check it before u buy it better yet save your money and buy a ic -706
