  • true true and they tend to fight more!

  • nice fish. any tips for flounder fishing from shore?

  • sand worms are best. i usually use plastics but sand worms are good

  • i think this is a winter flounder. down here in texas we got bigass southern flounder, one of my favorites

  • What type of worms are best for Flounder? Night crawlers, sand worms?

  • Yeah, the regulations on em are pretty dam big too... =\

  • Flounder -- This brown fish is the most common shallow-water flatfish in North America. It is a right-sided flounder, which means that it has both eyes on the right side. The tail area on the eyeless side of some individuals, especially larger ones, is yellow, which is why the fish is often called "lemon sole".

  • That's a winter flounder not a summer flounder (aka Fluke).Winters eat mussels, clams, and worms.

  • Summer Flounder are bigger and better.

  • the best way to catch flounder is to use a circle hook, but have a plastic or rubber stopper on the line, with about a 1-2 oz sinker behind it, and use mullet. the mullet will be able to swim w/out moving the sinker

  • wished i have caught one. i caught a windowpane flounder instead in coney island pier,ny.

  • thats a pretty big flounder i havent seen or caught a flounder that was bigger than that but i've caught a 15.3 pound fluke which was a monster so yea.. =]

  • i fished near there caught 3lb fluke

  • mud minnows and mullet all day long...shelly sandy bottom, docks, any structure really...these arent "big" at all, nor fat...where the monsters fellas...i wanna see some snaggletooths

  • nice flounder try breaking open clams and using that as bait for flounder
