  • @TheEnemyIsProfit No, you're just a jerk to the religious community.

  • @TheEnemyIsProfit To be honest I was commenting on the nurse rags on psycho father-in-law youtube video in the wrong comment area [here].

  • Q: "What is it about good...that makes him good?"

    A: Good is God.

  • Cracker Cryer Stiller anyone? God did it?

  • Is it just me or does Ben Stiller sound like Jon Cryer aka Alan Harper here?

  • @pobanmanu God is the Maximally conceivable being. As such he is the paradigm for Goodness, worthy of worship, Maximally powerful, Holy, Omnipresent, Omniscient, etc etc

That is what it means to be God.

I (nor any theist) has to defend our definition.

It is up to the atheist to show why that being doesn't exist as it is up to the theist to show why that being does exist.

    That's the debate.

  • @KBrimstone So what is the definition of a theist god according to theology?? It would be nice if you enlighten me. To give something a definition you have to have some grounds. Otherwise anything can be imagined and said they must have certain characteristics and if asked how, the answer would be by definition. If you only give give another sound argument than "by definition" to support a theist god's characteristics, then be sure you convinced me(irrespective of you wanting or not wanting).

  • @KBrimstone But you have no grounds or argument that god is holy except "by definition" or to be honest just an assertion. How do you know that he is holy?

  • @pobanmanu No I think my analogy was a good one. Perhaps you should read it again slowly.

  • @pobanmanu So God is the maximally greatest being. A perfectly holy being is greater than an immoral being. So if there is a God he would have to be Holy. Plus that is what the theist means by God. In to avoid a straw man you have to deal with the theist understanding of God. Unless you can somehow show that anything that is personal can't be holy. Which I do not think you can do.
