The album is Andy Griffith - American Original, my grandfather loved it, mom bought it for him, back when comedy didn't need 4 letter words to get a laugh.

from 1953, but he could have been describing last Saturday's Carolina-Alabama game. Good family humor. He did one mildly_ racy bit, "Make Yourself Comfortable," which is good for a laugh.

I like the video

"I don't know what-all"

I always listen to this bit right before football season and it gets me in the mood for football. Very clean humor without being lame or kiddie. It's hard to do.

Used to have the 45. The title is "What is was was football". On the back was "Romeo and Juliet" which he did part of on his show. Lost it in a house fire. This is truly a classic. Good, clean humor which is unfortunately hard to come by these days.

just moved new area Su

In high school one of the things I did for English class was to write stories from the point-of-view of a member of a primitive tribe who was observing some modern item (like a car) or event for the first time. (I did). I only later saw that Andy Griffith had actually done that several years before me. (He did).
