Dave Letterman is NOT at all portraying an average working bloke living in the states. 'The show' is the only reason for his even being, nothing more. Nigella deserves far better, but this 'entertainment' is what the lower class seems to enjoy after dark. Her real audience will be the more educated folks that enjoy her friendliness and communication skills. Her demeanor and simple cooking approach are highly desireable. Her physical attributes are classic and a refreshing return to sensibility.

I like Nigella but she should known (or been told) what she was in for coming on David's show. And as it is HIS show he can misbehave any way he likes. He is paid very well to do exactly that. Martha Stewart knows what he is going to do (drink the "alcohol".interrupt her,tease her) and she handles it a lot better than Nigella does here and they have fun as she is a frequent guest. I doubt Nigella will be asked back as she did not "play along" and that is what the "smart" guests do.C'est la vie.

The woman is beautiful, charming, funny and unbelievably sexy I don't understand why he has to be such a rude ass. Dave should watch Jonathan Ross to see how to be cheeky and yet remain likable.
