╰☆╮ Getting my outie belly button pierced ╰☆╮

YES... u can get ur outie belly button pierced.... everybody used to tell me i cant becuase its an outie.. and belly piercings are not for outies.. so i asked the guy at the piercing parlor.. (watever u call that) if i can get it done.. and he said yes.. thats its ok ^.^.. a few weeks later i got it doneee :P :D

No. An "outie" should never be pierced. A normal navel piercing goes only through surface skin at the edge of the navel. An outie is residual scarring from the umbilical cord, and as such is a direct blood link to internal organs. In other words, it is more complex tissue than simple surface skin. An infection in a surface piercing is seldom serious; an infection in an outie could quickly become quite dangerous. If anyone offers to pierce your outie, leave.

@poser4sho well.. i didnt pierce the outie.. like the skin that is sticking out.. i did it above the outie.. but yea ur right.. at the end.. my body rejected the piercing and was actually coming out by itself.. although it didnt really hurt

@poser4sho This is an urban legend. In your body there are no corridors, no doors or separated systems. All organs are interconnected. If you get an infection (for example hepatitis), the whole body is infected in a few hours - regardless of the infected injury (not important, if it was a navel or a finger). Read wiki.bmezine.com

when you get an outie pierced... it is actually called "true navel piercing" because you are actually piercing through the belly button and not just thru the upper skin... so actually if you don't have an outie you don't have a belly button piercing really.. lol you just have a skin fold piercing. i use to be ashamed of my outie... but did some research and as i've gotten a bit older i'm ok with it. they are unique and cute :)

I myself have an outtie! I pierced through the skin that is sticking out, and got a "true belly button piercing" :) I LOVE it, it's unique, and i have a video on my channel if anyone would like to see me getting it done! :))

This is an inspiration for me. I have always wanted my belly button pierced, but have been discouraged because I myself have an outie. I showed my 'rents this video, and they said I could get one in three weeks! But.. I'm scared. I'm a 13 year old feminine, but still contain fear. (I know, BIG WORDS) Is it scary at first?
