Basically a warning video, showing how using the .new clips can really mess you up when uprezzing media brought in using avid AMA.


Relink attempt using the .new clips created during a transcode. This video shows why I prefer the bin based relink with AMA offline/online workflows...mainly cause they work really well for me.

  • The trick with relinking to AMA is to highlight the source AMA files in a bin, then relink the sequence choosing "Selected items in ALL open bins" _instead_ of the "Media on drive" option.

    This is actually a great function since it also removes the need for MC to scan all, or any, of your hard drives -- it just uses the meta data. This may only be a problem if the location of the AMA files has completely changed -- I haven't tested that.

    I was having the problem you show until I did this.
