Motorific, by Ideal, cars run on batteries. This large layout is a riot to watch, & fun to build. In this scene, the blue Jag finally drives directly into the maroon Aston Martin.

  • I had one of these cars, but never any track. Don't they run on N size batteries you can't get anymore?

    Fantastic collection, btw.

  • They run on 'AA' batteries, even rechargeable, and since batteries are stronger these days, the cars go faster and longer. Thanks.

  • Smashing!! (pun intended)

  • I had one of these sets, and sold it @ a garage sale like an idiot.

  • When I had some of these Motorific sets, I used to imagine being able to put a camera in for a "driver's-eye" view. These days, with fiber optic cables and such, it's almost doable, don't you think?

  • Awesome layout and some really clever use of the trestle set I loved my Motorific set back in the 60's. I do remember the motors burning out very quickly. Thanks for the great memories.

  • Obviously a comment by someone who is not old enough to appreciate classic Motorific toys and is only addicted to online video games....sigh.

  • British cars in an American toy made in Hong kong...

    ahhh,, thems were the daze..........

  • i love race tracks like these

  • Friggin ginormus!

  • I think this one is my favorite. Glad you still have the track set up. I like the shots at track level, (floor level), best. It would be funny if you could follow along side one of the cars at track level. It would probably be difficult to do without stepping on some track. Maybe a cam-on-a-stick?

  • that was awesome! I realy wanted to see a crash. It was more than a bargined for... the bodies totaly looked like they had been wrecked!!! awesome! thanks for sharing
