When I was but a young lad, one of my friend's older brothers had one of the LIONEL military train sets.
Every kid in the neighborhood was florescent green with envy.
I can vividly recall, as we boys gathered in their basement to watch him run them 'round the track, thinking that it was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen.
Somehow, I doubt the latest game console could inspire the same sense of awe in today's kids.
And that's really kind of a pity.
