Cuba is on the 2010 list of state sponsors of terrorism. Examples abound: the Cuban Five, the arrest of the Pentagon's top Cuba analyst, Ana Belen Montes, as a spy passing classified info to Havana, 20 Cubans going into US embassies all over the world within weeks of the 9/11 attacks to provide false info to distract officials from legitimate leads. Castro's pledge to help Iran bring "America to its knees" in May 2001, just before the attacks.

@TainoSun The embargo has kept American safe from terrorist acts. Measured by this standard, the U.S. embargo has been an overwhelming success. What should be lifted is not the U.S. embargo – but the smoke screen that Cuban officials have spread around the world. The U.S embargo is not responsible for the hardships that Cubans are suffering on a daily basis. It is the imposition of a failed economic system that is responsible for their suffering. To think otherwise, is to be a Commie dupe.

The embargo is unrelated to regime change. As the Obama clip in this video shows, Obama does not comprehend the reason for the embargo. Castro stole American property without a cent of compensation. The embargo is punishment. The embargo also prevents Cuba from using the $975 billion to finance terrorist attacks against the US. Cuba is on the 2010 list of terrorist nations. 4 months before 9/11, on a visit to Iran, Fidel Castro proclaimed "Iran and Cuba can bring America to its knees."
