* Gunslugs is a retro pixel art game in development at Orangepixel (http://orangepixel.net) it will be released later this year (2012) on iOS, Android and probably a few more platforms - this is NOT the final release version of the game

All the hype about OUYA Android console this week, we figured we show you a much easier alternative that is available RIGHT NOW.

The game is run on a Sony mobile Xperia P connected to an HDTV with a simple HDMI cable. Many Android phones come with HDMI out these days.

The controller is a simple Wii-mote as you can see, connected over Bluetooth using a free Wii-mote app that you can download from the Google Play store.

Most Android tablets also come with an USB port for connecting even more controller types.

All Orangepixel's retro games come with support for physical controllers like Hardware keyboards, Xperia Play controls, Wii-mote and even iCade support.

We love the concept of the OUYA.. and we love bringing our games to it.. but we didn't want to wait for it! the future alternative to home-consoles: the phone or tablet you have in your hands right now.
