Friday Night, after Wonderfest has set up for the weekend, modelers and fans get together for the annual 'Meet and Greet' called 'The Lizard Lounge' where they can show off their works, have a drink, and meet other modelers from across the country face to face. This was an awesome model of the Jupiter 2 from the TV series 'Lost In Space.'

  • Most of the models can't be truely dimensionally correct. Isn't there a bottom or second floor for gally and sleeping quarters. Based on the height of the models there can't possibly be enough height for a second floor.

  • @taylorgpa @taylorgpa I had a roommate who was a huge LIS fan and he tried to reconcile the various sets seen in the TV episodes with the exterior saucer and he tried six ways to Sunday to make it work and it just didn't. They really weren't all that concerned with continuity back then on TV. In fact, depending on which episodes you watched there were as many as three levels in that spaceship! You can see some of his work here:

  • Dang...stupid YouTube won't allow me to list the URL.

  • NICE!!!!

  • I want one, it would look nice next to my lava lamp!

  • Beautiful model!!. Lost in Space has had a big impact on my life and on my dreams of the future. A future of spaceflight mysteries and adventure!

  • Well no matter if it's dimensionally correct or not, I love this stuff. It's way cool. Haselius below has done some truely excellant work.

  • I remember a third lower level in the "engine" room. Someone did a great video that reconciled dimensional discrepancies by raising the floor above the outside obvious first floor separation, even the working landing gear retracting. Way cool.

  • Oh My god Do you have them for SALE???COOL!!!

  • Awesome looking work. Are there any other videos or still photos of this particular Jupiter 2 on the net?
