San Jose has 5 Battalion Chiefs on duty at any time...
Battalion 1 with Stations 1, 3, 7, 8, 26, 30 & 33. Battalion 2 has Stations 2, 11, 16, 19, 21, 24 & 31. Battalion 10 has Stations 4, 6, 9, 10, 14 & 15. Battalion 13 has Stations 12, 13, 17, 18, 22, 27, 28 & 35. Finally Battalion 29 has Stations 5, 20, 23, 25, 29 & 34.
There is also the Duty Safety Officer who is a BC level officer.
Todays Wildfire had four Duty BCs the Safety officer, a Deputy Chief, and BCs from CalFire & County Fire
