thank you all for the comments. Gretchen (the pug) is all healed up from the allergy induced mange, and Carter still has both of his eyes. :) I would appreciate it if anyone has something rude or mean to say about this video to at least keep the language clean, as my son loves to look at his old videos and is learning to read. @crzy4euro1979 Yes pugs do have sharp eagle claws .. my pug has such sharp claws he can climb walls with them hes like a spider i never know when he`ll decide to fall off the ceiling where he is again hanging on his sharp claws ..

The nails are normally cut, if you care about the dog.

So what if the kid got a cut from the dog's NAILS? The kid would surely survive.

And seeing as you overlook certain details, the father was ready in case something were to go wrong.

... And please do not reply with a comment about hitting the eyes... Worst comebacks are using possibilities. A plane COULD crash down into their house at any time, OH SNAP!

My pug does that with all 4 of my kids! No one has lost eyes, and they trade off using each other as pillows :) Only terrible thing our pug does is steal food if they go walking around with it! LOL But it reinforces that we eat at the table or Pug will get your food! They are such happy lil rolly polly dogs! We just got our second pug last night, a little 4yr old girl, and oh she is she so hyper compared to my 11yr old pug!
