City News Sign Sweep.mpg

The City of Wichita Falls Community Development Department will be conducting a "sign sweep" for several weeks beginning January 1, 2011. The sweep will cover all business and residential areas of the City to ensure that all signage adheres to the City's sign ordinance. Those found out of compliance will have ten days to correct any problems. Those who refuse to bring their sign into compliance can face fines of up to $2000.00. The goal of the sweep is to reduce sign clutter and ensure sign maintenance which positively impacts the aesthetic image of the City.
