The Star Spangled Banner WW II Style - 1942

Patriotic montage of scenes accompanying a performance of the U.S. National Anthem as sung by Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians in 1942. I chose this version of the national anthem because I feel it is important to actually consider and reflect upon our nation's great history during our Independence Day Celebrations.

It seems that so many American's these days just use July 4th as an excuse to have a barbeque, light fireworks, or take a day off from work, but hardly ever do they really think about what the men and women of our country's past went through on our behalf.

Please be safe during your holiday celebrations, and remember that our nation's founding fathers and the men and women that stood with them struggled and died so that Americans can have a better life - not politicians and banks - Americans.
