Ben Simcoe is a great guy with a chronic case of acute individuality. Ben's twenty-five and his goal is to shake up the perceptions many have of people with developmental disabilities and have a great time doing it.
Ben lives with his family in Abbotsford and has been performing impressions for them his entire life. He announced two years ago he would like to become self-employed as an entertainer. Since then, he has performed before various groups in Vancouver and the lower mainland. These groups include Laffline's Comedy Club; Mission's Celebration of Community and Illuminaria; Youth Unlimited; Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion; Station X; Street Hope Ministries; Mission Friendship Centre; Abbotsford Community Services; MSA Society's Harvest Dance and BBQ; The United Way; Surrey/Delta Community Living; Arcus; Menno Home and others. When Ben is not practising new impressions, he likes to work on his golf game. His favourite course is Sandpiper and he golf's in the high 90's. Ben also enjoys dirt-biking the back roads of Mission; squash; racquetball; karaoke; ten-pin bowling; photography; playing his drums and a daily walk at Rotary Stadium.
