DiosEol Thank you so much for putting up this vid of such an amazing player. I used to watch Newcastle's 2002/2003 season dvd all the time, and every time it got to a part in a game where Viana had the ball i'd literally rewind his 'Viana moments' over and over again just because i can't get enough of how elegantly he moves the ball. If he played in the centre of midfield just behind the two strikers he would have been amazing! The two freekicks at the end of your clip rivals Becks!! :)

@DiosEol I like this guy, even though i am a benfica fan and he started his carreer at sporting, but i must admit his passes n technique are just as good as xabi alonsos. and im very glad he plays in the portuguese league now.

If I was him, I'd stay on newcastle, screw valencia, he was shinning on newcastle, and playing really well, he had a sure spot there, and moved to valencia where.. his career started to spiral down..

It's a shame he was never given a chance to develop. We often put him wide on the left when he came on as a sub. He should have been in the middle and Speed should have guided him. It's mental we sold him in 2005 after his year out on loan when we still employed the likes of Amdy Faye and Lee Bowyer.

he was a great player, one of the biggest promises from Portugal. his problem was the lack of confidence from the coaches he had and the lack of opportunaties.
