In this University of Virginia program, author Barbara Ehrenreich sits down with Kim Hopper, professor of law and public health at Columbia University, to discuss the troubling statistic that one in four Americans live in poverty while 2.5-3.3 million Americans spend the night in a homeless shelter every year. • @remotehog1, Yeah i understand. i just stated that where i live, homelessnes isnt a very huge deal.

i dont live at the states

  • @Darusdei for me it was'nt a choice i lost my job at which i was living paycheck to paycheck and by the time a month went by still had'nt found a new job so i could'nt pay my rent and ended up sleeping in the backseat of my car. i think i was around 20 years old at the time, but it can happen to anyone.

  • @remotehog1, here homelessnes is virtualy zero, it's more like a choice to go that way :D

  • i was homeless before for a few months, what a nightmare. i wanted to get arrested at one point so i would'nt freeze to death, all it took to help me was a minumum wage job and i was able to find housing in about 1 month, worst time of my life.

  • Looks like old Supie could use some Viagra!

  • "america is like superman, always wins "
