Really? How much is ir for a ticket to croke park for a big All-Ireland game? 60-80 euro minimum? And a full house makes them millions. Yet most local clubs I know all had to fundraise, even during the boom. I agree that transfers are going out of control in Football, but a least players get treated properly by FIFA or whatever orginisation. The GAA just care about their back pockets.

actually i got a ticket for 40 euro.and these matches are worth more than 60-80euro.and ireland players got treated worse than dog shite.we werent in a fair match.fifa seeded the teams they wanted and then didnt have the decency to give us the rematch we deserved.and the GAA take care of the players better than FIFA or UEFA.

Stop taking away from my point. Yes FIFA screwed us over, I do not deny that you GAA hardcore fans can milk that for the next 10 years untill that gets old like the diving has, Since when watching a few GAA games last summer on TV there was discussions about hurling and gaelic football players feigning injuries. And if the GAA did care about its players why did it take them so long (10 years to be percise) to recognise the GPA? And Football is a world sport, GAA is a national sport, go figure.

@shootie894 There are thousands of clubs acroos Ireland and Croke Park cant cover the costs of running them all so thatis why they have to fundraise.The money that is made from Croke Park is filtered down to the clubs.
