This video depicts the slides from a talk that Theresa-Marie Rhyne gave on August 4, 2009 at the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Graphics (ACM SIGGRAPH) 2009 conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. The presentation was part of the Art & Interaction talks session. The process of developing color maps for two scientific visualizations are discussed. One visualization is of a SuperNova simulation and the other visualization is of a Hurricane Simulation. Theresa-Marie handled the colorization for both projects that were created at the Renaissance Computing Institute's Engagement Facility at North Carolina State University (RENCI@NCSU).
