I love Bette's PJ set... but I hate this scene poor Bette
-
I hate season 3,4 and a portion of 2 and 5 cuz tibette weren't together. They're made for each other. Ilene is a mean, mean person for tearing them apart for so many seasons.
-
I sympathize a little with Tina, but still.... you would think with a 6 month old baby they would have tried harder, or Tina would have wanted to see if those feelings would pass (which they did).
-
Sometimes, though, I think Tina's sudden desire for men was less about "men" and more about her rejecting how alternative her life with Bette was at that moment ... the weird attachment therapy, Angelica sleeping with them (at first), Bette not wanting to child-proof the house, Tina having to go back to work and Bette showing no interest in working but still wanting to live a fancy lifestyle. I think suddenly Tina craved stability and, for lack of a better word, a kind of "normalcy." I HATE S3!

HOWEVER, to continue, I still think this had to have killed Bette and Tina handled it very poorly. Or I should say, Ilene Chaiken wrote the character in such a mean-spirited way. If Tina had met someone (a man) and started to have feelings for him, rather than IC writing that she just started to miss having c*ck, I think that would have been more understandable. But by the time she met Henry, she had already trolled the Internet for a stranger and tried to sleep with the director.

I feel for Tina a little, because I think her dissatisfaction with Bette in S3 was less about men and more about how they had slipped back into bad habits, despite their roles being reversed (Tina working, Bette at home). Bette still being self-centered and being careless about money. I also wondered whose idea it was to do the attachment parenting....did they ever say? On one hand we blame Tina for the lack of intimacy, but on the other hand how could they have sex with Angelica always there!

if Bette would only touch me....
-
I have to admit,Tina kind of pissed me off in Season 3.I know that Bette was unfaithful and everything, but they obviously got past it,and Tina finally deciced to forgive her. So,it kind of bothered me that she acted so cold towards Bette.First, she does'nt give Bette any kind of intimacy, sexual or otherwise, but then she cheats on her with that movie guy, then shacks up with that guy Henry....Still,it's good they had their time apart, just so they could find their way back to each other.

I love the description... indeed season 3 was brutal to all tibetters! when i'm having THE L WORD marathon, I'm always skipping season 3,.

She should slap the shit out Tina, like Tina did her in season one!! Now that's Hot!! Anyway they are back together, and that's what really counts!! Tibette always....
i like to pretend season 3 doesn't exist. it just never happened.

It took a lot for T to admit that she was having feelings for men, and I think Bette responded poorly. Yeah, I understand Bette being hurt, but she then strikes out at T in a way that I think is totally not right. T cannot help what she feels any more that Bette can help being gay. You don't always control your feelings. At least T was trying to put her feelings out there for discussion.
