It's called "Silhouette of a Breeze"and was composed specifically for the anime series. :)

First, it's the 19th century (the series takes place around ~1895). Second, no, for the most part of the population, it wasn't romantic at all.

This anime, on the other hand, really is though. I love it ^^

Emma the victorian romance is oneof most favorites in my anime sessions.Its a very wonderful tale n soooooo.......... romantic n cuuuuuuuuuuuuu.........te.Is there a movie based on this?

well worth watching. I just got done watching both seasons and I can say it is one of the best series I have ever watched
