Inside Story - Race and the US elections - Oct 28 2008 - part 1

Days before the US presidential elections, an alleged plot to assassinate Barack Obama, the Democratic presidential candidate, has been uncovered.

It is claimed that two white Americans planned to go on a national killing spree targeting black people, with Obama as their final target.

Although many think that such plots are not part of an orchestrated campaign of racial intimidation, it still reveals the depth of race as an issue in the ongoing presidential election campaign.




So what would it mean for the US to have a black president? And is the country ready for that?

Bring Aljazeera English BBC World to America and Cnn International and VOA TV to USA we live in a bubble dome it needs to be broken we need to quite Isolating ourselves. Europeans watch these channels, so why can't Americans, Comcast and others please carry these worldy channels
