The 1st beast in Rev 13 rises up from the sea. The sea/water is defined as "peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues." Rev 13:15 The water from which the beast rises is a symbol that it is a populated area (Rome and the area which has become Modern Europe). Even the legs of iron in Daniel 2 identified Rome, the two legs representing the east and western empires, which fell and were divided up into 10 tribes, i.e., the ten toes of of the statue in Dan 2 which are the 10 horns of Dan 7.

@RepaireroftheBreach the Lord (the stone) strikes the feet of the statue. In Revelation, Jesus strikes ALL NATIONS. The "sea" represents the people of the earth, who send the "Beast" against Israel. This army is comprised of "peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues"

Brother, the scriptures do not say the little horn only subdues or uproots three kingdoms. It says that three kingdoms are uprooted BEFORE it comes to power. This was fulfilled in the ten kingdoms into which Rome was divided after it fell. Of those ten, three tribes/nations were destroyed, the Heruli, Vandals, and Ostrogoths. In 538AD the little horn power (papacy) rose into power. The beast IS the same as the little horn. They share the same characteristics. Your timing is just off. God Bless~

@RepaireroftheBreach It says "HE SHALL SUBDUE three kings" it does not say "three kings will fall before he rises."

@RepaireroftheBreach what about the eastern part of the roman empire and northern Africa you can't leave them out it was more than ten nations after those 3 countries you name were no longer around it can't be rome

For whatever its worth, all the protestant reformers recognized the Papacy as the little horn and Antichrist. You can look this up.. Huss, Tyndale, Wesley, Luther... they all said point blank, the Roman Church fulfilled the prophecy of Antichrist and Babylon the Great -- that apostate woman (symbol of a church) dressed in purple and scarlet with a golden cup in her hand full of wine (false doctrines that make the world spiritually drunk).
