I disagree with Barbara that Wright advances ANY kind of bigoted agenda. Joyce is correct that Wright was referring to the ancient Roman empire which was extremely violent, hateful, and dictatorial -- it was an oppressive, slavery based colonialist empire which brutally & violently oppressed it's own citizens- it killed JESUS!
