10th Lubi Lubi Festival

Together with hundreds of residents and spectators, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo celebrated the 95th Founding day of the Municipality of Glan in Sarangani.
From her successful visit to Cagayan de Oro, the president went straight to the Municipality of Glan to join in the 95th Founding day of the municipality. In her speech the president lauded Mayor Enrique Yap for his programs in alleviating the lives of the people in his community. She stressed the programs of the mayor which is in line with the governments priority programs such as the emphasis on education and health. At present the residents of Glan enjoy free education from elementary to college, they also give free health consultation. The president also congratulated the mayor in the establishment of the newly constructed Customs Immigration Quarantine Security-One Stop Action Building (CIQS-OSAC) which she said could help boost the economy by inviting trade relations.
