U'r cat is lucky to be alive, coon's aren't pets despite their cuteness for a reason, their nails pierce tree bark and can easily disembowel a cat/dog.

Coons are usually vicious little devils, I'm surprised it didn't get pissed and royally f up that cat, which is all the more reason I think it's a pet and not wild.

Is the raccoon your pet?

It's really a bad idea to allow wild animals around your pet just be cause of the risk of disease.
