Update: The entire golf-cart restoration series has been muted by YouTube, so I had to take them down...

FOR SALE!!! - SOLD!!!

This tutorial will be my most detailed, and longest. Each day will have its own video and titles, checklists, goals, key points, etc... i will include video narrated by me and my friends, I will be introducing them later. We will be taking this 1980s (1983) E-Z-GO (EZGO) (EZ-GO) golf cart (kart) and fully resotring, repairing and upgrading it. We are planning to replace the resistors, forward and reverse switch, accelerator board, batteries, wiring, key switch, brakes, seats and paint job. This will teach you all you need to know about repairing, maintaining, fixing and restoring an old golf cart. powersports.x10hosting.com

  • where is the cheapest place to buy the batteries i have one just like yours and i want to restore it thanks.......

  • Sam's Club

  • whats that last song

  • I don't know. It was a liscense-free song that someone created. No DRM, no copyright, no liscense, no name either... Its pretty good for being free!!!

  • I have an ez go but the steering has soooo much slack in it, makes it hard to keep striaght, any ideas on how to fix it?

  • I know whats wrong, i think...

You may need new bushings in your steering linkages...

If that desn't fix it, your steering box may be trashed.

Mine was loose, but it was still good enough to drive in a straight line going 20mph...

    GOOD LUCK!!!

Oh yeah man thanks. Yeah i would REALLY prefer these over the 36volts!

  • Oh man! Those 48volts are NICE!!! Much more power and speed!

If you can find a 48volt light and switch, that would be awesome!!!

  • Alright thanks for your help. . But yeah thats bad news because i have an electric, its a 48 volt

  • I didn't have any brake lights...

But, its not that hard to wire one in. You need a reversed switch, one that activates when its not pressed. Then, you put it so that it is pressed when the brake pedal isn't. When you press the brake pedal, and it moves away from the switch, the light turns on. However, if you have an electric gold cart, you have to find a light that takes the same voltage. Voltage converters are insanely overpriced!!!
