Nazim Haqqani Al Naqshbandi no longer accountable to Allah, the pen is lifted the Sufi says

Sufi Sheikh Muhammad Nazim Al Haqqani claims "the pen has been lifted" and since the age of 80 hes no longer accountable for sin, and may swear freely and that its a sign of his "sainthood" ( wilaya )

His Arabic is very weak (broken) to begin with, and therefore hard to understand. The way he speaks in an unclear manner at such an age, adds to this and makes it even harder. Although translation was a challenge and the video had to be listened to over 20 times, one can understand what is said very clearly. What he says also, is certainly nothing new to the Sufi culture, or his writings. Such statements have been recorded by many, many Sufis throughout history, so I see it as an extension of a very old concept. Its just interesting to see, on video, someone actually saying it, as opposed to reading about it in a book.

Whats also interesting is the idea of a Sufi Master swearing, while Sufism is supposed to be about purifying the soul etc and all that good stuff. However, again, going back to Sufi writings from the past centuries, im not surprised at all. It seems to me that theres just beautiful sounding concepts on the outside, but once you get deeper into it, you get to see the darker side. If you do not question, think, or ask questions, then maybe you'd get promoted a rank or two. Then some get to the point where they learn "secrets" they arent supposed to share with the general public, and become higher in rank and maybe lead a Sufi order, keeping those "secrets" away from the public!

Such beliefs/practices have nothing to do with authentic Islam. I personally believe its just a matter of using religion to manipulate people, and make them willingly rent their minds out! And although humbleness is stressed upon in Sufism, it seems that the Masters don't really have such humble qualities and don't like being questioned, preferring followers who'd just close their eyes, block their brains, and just listen.

These guys are fake sufi's. Do these guys practice any real sufism (if that's the term they want us to call). Sufism is suppose to be about breaking the ego. These modern sufis have the biggest ego. You just have to listen to their lifestyle and then you realise they don't do any real action to breaking the ego.

@zak9985 Every Sufi group calls others fake without mentioning which group they are, and without dencouncing others. You'd find many against Haqqani, but would support others who follow him. Ali Al Jifri for instance lectured at Hamza Yusifs school. The same Ali Al Jifri on his knees kissed Haqqanis hand, asking for ijaza in something. The fact is superstition is sadly widespread and wherever you find sufis and shias, you find superstitions, weak and fabricated narrations, and graveworship.

@NazTheGreat Its accurate. Yes, its unbelievable. It seems that he knows he has followers that would believe just anything he says, therefore finds no shame in saying such absurd things. However such quotes arent new to Sufism, and they have been saying such things for centuries, as recorded in many, many books.
