Here's a video lesson for bass guitar beginners on how to play bass to the Michael Jackson track Beat It. The lesson is split into three sections - the riff, the verse and the section prior to the solo (which is played over the verse format). The original recording is in Eb - and one way to play along successfully is to detune your E string to Eb. That's also included in the lesson.

@Merlintycoon Sorry man - i teach the way I teach. If I talk too much either use the fast forward button, most lessons get into the nitty gritty around the 2 minute mark. Or find another YouTube channel with lots of free bass tutorials on where the songs are taught note by note. (And good luck with that).

@kalaika11 Jamiroquai is definitely not for beginners. Probably won't get to OFf The Wall this time either....maybe I'll pick up another mini series later in the year.
