Looks like fun. We live in Rainier, on the mountain overlooking the river... What was the name of the wreck you passed?

Can't find any info about the wreck. I visited the Oregon Maritime Museum and no clues there. Bottom line is that those boats were trucks of the era and no one cared what happened to them unless there was loss of life. My guess is someone bought the hulk and sunk it to make the island bigger. But its pretty cool to see the wreck today.

We just got our boat and have been watching your videos. Great by the way and was wondering, we have a power boat with a 25 hp motor and was wondering how much fuel your boat used on this trip? Thanks for the great videos and hope to see you on the waterway!!

Cruising with my Honda BF-50 at 4600 rpm and an average speed of 11kn, I get about 5 nm per gallon of gas. Of course, I go a bit faster downstream and slower up. When my buddy & I visited St. Helens, we sailed most of the way back, so our fuel use was pretty low. Just another earth friendly Mac feature!
