The main saga is really really good, but the stories can be very long. But in the end you'll like it.

the best history of FF, is the Lion War, from FFT, if you don't like, you don't understand the game xD

you're right... personal opinions. Maybe ut's just you didn't lived the magnificence of ff IV on it's days. Not only was a great game admirable even today, but it was so advanced to it's age, the deepness of the story, characters with nice personalities. Best of Bests. But personal opinions right? go play FF VII and kill your weapons and whatever. Anyways this game will rock this Xmas.

With the DS, I wouldn't complain with any remakes they decide to make... that's why I bought a DS... for remakes!
