Set in futuristic Metro City, Astro Boy is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist named Dr. Tenma (Nicolas Cage). Powered by positive blue energy, Astro Boy (Freddie Highmore) is endowed with super strength, X-ray vision, unbelievable speed and the ability to fly. Embarking on a journey in search of acceptance, Astro Boy encounters many other colourful characters along the way. Through his adventures he learns the joys and emotions of being human and gains the strength to embrace his destiny. Learning his friend and family are in danger, Astro Boy uses his awesome super powers and returns to Metro City in a valiant effort to save everything he cares about and to understand what it takes to be a hero.
Astro Boy is released in cinemas nationwide January 29th 2010.

Sorry. I think they should've gone with a more regular animation look not the computerized stuff. The movie didn't seem as fun or as funny as the cartoon. That's probably why it failed. I think the casting could've been better. Didn't think the voice actors fit. I love Astro Boy. I believe they could've done better.

I thought astro boy was japanese? why are the movement of their mouths in english? I thought is originally japanese dubbed in english? or english dubbed in japanese? now I'm confused.. anyone help?

U might say that this movie is mostly for boys, but I know a lot of girls that like this movie too. I love the movie!!!!!
