I don't think this song is simply about a breakup. its more of if she ever went back to the way she was before she fell into drugs and depression that he would be there for her and he will always wait for her. I think he is saying if she ever comes back he would take her but he's not sure that she can change back to the way she was.

@ryeandhar35 videos usually get views cuz they come out almost immediately after the song is released. this song was released a while ago so a lot of people probably don't know that its out. I dont think they made this video for the views....rather because one of the members in the band had a passion for its message.

Observation: most bands have what society deems to be super attractive girls in their videos...however ive noticed that The Script doesn't try to use the most eye catching girl in their videos to draw attention to their videos. Instead they have their videos convey a real message instead of putting a picture perfect guy and girl in their videos that not everybody can relate too. Respect

@eibooh You bring a very good point, and with most of it I agree. However, it also says "I'm sleeping on your side of the bed, goin' out of my head now..." So it's difficult to tell whether or not its family drug abuse, depression, etc or a break up. Maybe a mixture? Like a break up caused by those things.

I think this video really turns on its concept when you only listen to the song. When you first hear the song, you first thing of a regretful break up and the boy begging for her to come back. This video really is talking about someone who falls into drugs, depression, and violent relationships and the person who is singing this song would be their mother/family member, begging them to get straight and come back home. Back to the little things they missed. Really strong message.
