History obviously didn't repeat itself. Sorry losers! As far as the National Championship games go....yea we lost both games, but UM couldn't even get a sniff at the Nation Championship game even if they wanted to. They have to settle for the Toilet Bowl on Jan. 1 down in Orlando. You'll be lucky to get that far for the next few years with Dick Rod after all your experienced players transfered out.

LOL Michigan couldn't beat LSU or USC either. And App State didn't almost beat those schools - they actually have enough talent and brains to take care of business those days. OSU whooped up on Youngstown State who is right up within the top 4 teams in the FCS, pretty close to App State. When's the last time Michigan stopped a spread offense of any variety? The only spread offenses that OSU has struggled with are the ones that do it best.

Why don't we see Michigan in a national championship game? Oh that's right, they can't beat Ohio State, and now apparently a Division I-AA school is too tough for Michigan (with a healthy Hart and Henne) to beat. It's unfortunate that Michigan had to pad a series lead back in ancient times, but it's only the recent history that matters most. I would say a 23-3 record over the past two years with two Big Ten titles and national runner-up finishes is great, Michigan loses 3+ games every season.
