my great-grandfather died at minsk, he was delivering food for the wehrmacht. he was shot in the back, by an raid by the russians.

Paulus that dam idiot, The Führer's orders were bullshit and were the reason the 6th army lost. Did you know why Rommel was so sucessful? - the reason is becuase he didnt listen to hitler and did what he wanted, and that way he became the most sucesfull and most well known german officer.
The breaktrough was possible but he rejected it, 48 km are very little a good solider can march that distance in a day.

a fucking dictator, who plays with soldiers life

they always mix up the ranks in the english translation. The main character is described as a Lt.Colonel, but he is only 1st Lt.
The described army of Hooth is a tank army and he is no Colonel he is a General of the Army.
Who did these subtitles!??? ^^

My grandfather got some luck - he became ill before and had not to went to Stalingrad.
The House of my Grandparents was bombed at 1944 by RAF , however, but they remained alive, grandma, grandpa my mother and my uncle. As a child I never understood the meaning of war, which was held for a game.
