What a stupendous cast.
It's surprising to me today that Gundula Janowitz would have sung Pamina in a troupe that included Elisabeth Schwarzkopf. Now I wonder when Schwarzkopf stopped singing Pamina.

Dear Leoperarm, as a fellow HUGE opera and classical music fan, I can't thank you enough for all your wonderful posts on YouTube. This one is particularly beautiful as far as displaying the miracle of Popp's artistry and of her incomparable instrument. Ravishing! She has a noticeable (Slavic) accent in German, but her diction is good. This is coloratura at its best!
