@spazmuncy The sky is the limit. Almost. Obviously you couldn't grow root crops in DWC hydroponics but I've grown peppers, bok choy, kale, chives, thyme, basil,t
omatoes, strawberries, and even onions. Most things seem to grow well, but some do better than others. -
Very cool I hope you do more video's

Is it save to use rockwool? I read its harmful/irritant.
Mondoshawn 2 weeks ago
@Mondoshawn I wouldn't consider rockwool to be harmful. It is basically melted down volcanic rock that is spun out much like cotton candy. Its physical properties are somewhat similar to fiberglass insulation. It could however be a respiratory irritant for some people but there are no long term effects. Some alternatives would be Oasis Horticubes, expanded clay, expanded shale, pea gravel,or coco fiber.

can you reuse the rockwool?
biggidaman777 3 weeks ago
@biggidaman777 No. Im sorry but the rockwool is only good for one planting. You can however use expanded clay or pea gravel if you want a reusable medium. These work fine on a small scale, however they are simply uneconomical for commercial production as they are much more labor intensive. Coco fiber is another good choice, but is also labor intensive. While you couldn't really reuse it per se,it can be composted and used for other growing applications.
