  • New Zealand has more talent than Aussie

  • I wonder if that is her hubby and child in the video. Great to see her back making music! can't wait for the album!

  • Go Aussie!

  • I am in love with her !

  • I Love New Zealand

  • @howie2078 is Dave Dobbyn the only Kiwi allowed to have Kiwi music and use New Zealand as a backdrop for his music? Sod off back to Aussie, mate.

  • @howie2078 thats more the video director than her

  • my teacher is her sister pearl runga!!

  • love the song... though the video is not that good

  • cool

  • You can tell this was filmed in NZ, the beach at the start, the forest at the first chorus, this shows the best of NZ and Bic Runga's talents.

  • I got Bic's new album for Christmas.

  • The first line of singing, especially "i'm coming down the wire" sounds like an american indie song... I wish i could remember it.

  • @pnnorton uh I'm sorry but no thats wrong, sales is a culmination of many factors, public exposure, advertising, friends sharing, quality is only one of those factors. Rebecca black sold millions of copies of her song friday, is it an amazing song by a talented artist? not on my watch. This is infinitely better than Rebecca Black but will only recieve a margin of the sales her piece of trite sold. Sales does not indicate quality.

  • as soon as i first heard this song i knew i loved it ! :) Up NZ music ! :D

  • @sunriseRISE You were insecure enough to rise to the bait ;^p nerp.

I'm sure iceburglolliepop was talking statisically based on population rather than real numbers anyway, even the small amount of talent of each individual adds up to a lot when you consider the total population of Australia. (I kid ;^) )

  • @MynameisChops But it is the best objective indicator and given the gap between US and everywhere else, even in non-US markets, it is hard to refute that the US have been winning.

  • @pnnorton Popular =/= quality.

  • @stuffit321 sales is the only unbiased indicator of quality

  • @pnnorton Sure the US can pump out hits but when it comes to quality music like this they're all autotuned to hell crappy pop artists that are backed by the massive marketing power of their record companies

  • we could have had a better video showcasing nz.

  • This is my fave song by Bic Runga! I really love this song... any chance for guitar chords to it? :)

  • Let's just face it US has been winning as far as hits post beatles.

  • @MinkBomb If your really proud of being NZ that's fine... but putting all these comments of NZ vs. Aus shit hurts any case for superiority simply because looking at any of the Aus bands/artists you'll be hard pressed to find a mention of NZ.

  • thats the child yesh and the guy is a drumer that she has
