exactly it dosent matter. What matters is what happend last time not what happend 3 years ago. Russia has the most gold medals in hockey period USSR or not. And we have the most exciting players in NHL. No disrespect to Canadians they are great. But you cant say Malkin, Afinogenov,Ovechkin,Yashin,Semin,Kovalev,Zherdev or Samsonov arent exciting players to watch.

We could also talk about the fact that Canada hasn't lost to the Russians in any type of tournament expect for the world jrs for five stright yrs before that loss, but it really doesn't matter since where still goin to keep winning anyway.

Ya cause Sakic couldn't even lead, their were some concerns when he was picked captian and I was concerned. Lets face it, he won those Stanley Cups and other international titles cause he played along side proven leaders such as Patrick Roy and Mario Lemieux.
