I used to be the same way. But I believe by antitheist you mean against all modern religions. i.e. you find there being a god to be a possibility just not any of the gods from todays religions.

4:38: Calvinists telling you that you were never saved to being with - how deluded. How can THEY be sure they are saved at all? What assurance do they have that they are actually saved themselves? And why bother trying to be saved if God supposedly chooses who is called (according to calvinism)?

God is just somehow going to magically educate you and lead you in life because you did the 'right thing' by neglecting your studies for Him. I fell for that garbage as well.

@yistackness So you can only be a "zapinist" if you do not believe in the existence of apples. That is to say, you'd have to know what (the claimed) characteristics of an apple is (red, fruit, fist-sized, etc) in order to know what it is that you do not believe in. Atheists have a definition of what it is that they lack a belief in (god), but babies have no definition of "god", and as such, calling them atheists is misleading. Babies lack a belief in the claim "there is no god". So which is it?

If you are going to be silly enough to call babies atheists, then you also have to call them prejudice since they do not believe slaves should be freed, or that women should be allowed to vote, etc. Some atheists say that atheism is not a belief but a lack of belief in the claim "there is a god", well fine then, if we're going to play that kind of game, I guess theism is not a belief either, but rather, a lack of belief in the claim "there is no god".

@gooddarkjedi If someone didn't believe in the existence of apples, then i suppose we could give it a name - lets pretend "zapinism". But you can only be a zapinist if you have a definition of what it is you lack a belif in, in this case apples. So, to honestly be an atheist, you have to have a definition of what it is that you do not believe in, namely "god". According to this video, rocks and trees are atheists too, lol. Otherwise, it seems that "atheism" is synonymous with "ignorance".
