In November 1994 My daughter and I visited the 7.25in gauge Thornes Park Railway in Wakefield.

  • I was a regular passenger on this railway when I was a wee boy back int he 1980s. It's good to see the railway is still there.

  • wow! Owd rosie is still working very VERY well 16 years ago!

    Owd Rosie now lives at the Swanley New Barn Railway in Swanley, Kent.

    At the moment owd rosie has been stripped down and is waiting for a plug to be tapped in her boiler, it is hoped to have her ready for the 1st January 2010 or even before hand! Incase you did not relise, Owd rosie is the large Red tinkerbell class locomotive.
