  • Well Done !

Can you tell me the gearing ratios ? From that I can tell approxiamtely how long it will run -

I truly lke this simple but elegant design .

would like to try something similar myself -

  • I have problems with friction. I do not get it to work for 24 hours because they use a low coefficient of reduction gear I have to put the clock very high. I made to hand and I do not have laser or CNC milling machines, and then there are some imperfections, which has repercussions on the accuracy of the gears. However, I gladly accept tips. Dwg drawings that I have developed I can send them to you even now.

  • love it,!!!!

  • I tried counting gear teeth from the video and sort of arrived at : 50:12: 50:12 40:12

    or some such :)

  • This is an Awesome clock escapement.

I have always wanted to make something like that, not to tell time, but to hear a tick every second. Judging by the weight and the gears, I'd guess this thing runs forever!

    Awesome!
